Malshej Ghat is precisely that, a densely forested mountainous region at about 800m AMSL surrounded by higher mountain ranges such as Harishchandragad.Malshej Ghat is heaven located a stone's throw away from Mumbai and Pune. The state highway from Kalyan to Ahmednagar goes through a tunnel in this mountain.

It is not at all commercialised making it ideal for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. The view is just amazing and there are some things you will experience that you have never seen before - like clouds being formed and a reverse waterfall. It is best visited during the monsoons as the lush green surroundings just make it simply stunning. You can even spot some interesting fauna there. Flamingos are said to visit Malshej during the monsoons.

थितबी... माळशेज घाटाच्या पायथ्याशी वसलेलं मुरबाड तालुक्यातील हे गाव.... गाव तस दुर्लक्षित पण निसर्गाने नटलेलं... इथला उत्तुंग धबधबा ज्याचे शब्दात वर्णन होणार नाही...

मी आणि महेश दोघे या ठिकानाचे वेडे आहोत......थिताबिला (कचरा करणार्या) पर्यटकांची भीती नाही ! कारण तिथे पोहचायाचे म्हणजे फार कसरत करावी लागते..... सुमारे पाच किलोमीटर चे अंतर पायी चालून अपान कुठे पोचतो त्या मनोहारी धबधाब्याजवळ......

भव्य सह्यकडा डोळ्यांत मावतो का पाहा.... त्यावरुनच आपण किती खुजे आहोत हे समजून येईल !

एकदा इथला हाडं गोठवणारा गारठा अनुभवा....रानवारा कानांत भरुन घ्या. ऑफिसमधला एसी झक मारेल त्याच्यापुढे !

धोधो कोसळणाऱ्या धबधब्याखाली भिजा.... जकुझी आणि शॉवर भिकार वाटू लागतील !

खळाळत्या ओढ्याचे (अगदी चहाच्या रंगाचे दिसले तरी) पाणी पिऊन नशा घ्या.... व्हिस्की-रम-स्कॉचच्या तोंडात मारेल !

संध्याकाळच्या संधीप्रकाशात कड्यावरुन पाय खाली सोडून बसा आणि मनाला येईल तेवढ्या मोठ्या पडद्यावर खाली दरीत दिसणारा सोनेरी प्रकाश आणि आणि त्यावर चमचमणाऱ्या नदीचा आणि तिच्या तीराशी चाललेला रोमान्स अनुभवा.....जगातले कुठलेही मल्टीप्लेक्स हा आनंद देऊ शकणार नाही !

रात्री चुलीवर केलेली उरलेली मूगखिचडी आणि गरम मॅगी खाऊन मग बिनदुधाचा चहा प्यायले की सकाळचा ब्रेकफास्ट होतो....

ट्रेक संपला की पायथ्याच्या गावात एका मामांच्या घरी आधीच सांगून गावरान कोंबडी चापली जाते त्याची सर KFCला नाही....

The Maratha Light Infantry (MLI)

Is a light infantry regiment of the Indian Army. It was formed as the 103rd Maharattas in 1768, making it the most senior light infantry regiment of the Army.

The regiment recruits from the Indian state of Maharashtra. Their regimental center is in Belgaum, Karnataka.

The battle cry of Maratha Light Infantry is, Bol Shri Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai! ("Cry Victory to King Shivaji!"), in tribute to the Maratha conqueror Shivaji Maharaj

@ Tawang (तवांग) Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang is a small town situated at an elevation of approximately 3,048 meters (10,000 feet) in the northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The town once served as the district headquarters of West Kameng district, and became the district headquarters of Tawang district when it was formed from West Kameng.

The Tawnag travel takes 12 hours from Tezpur(Assam). We were Six frends who travelled from Bishwanath Chairali (Tezpur , Assam ) to the Tawang.The plan was not fixed.... but I and Jamir @ Rs.450 per hade. So jouney began on 19th June 2009.

We were too much exited for a journy towards far Noth-East of India... but cant see any expressions on the faces of other travellers. So our first long rout journey finally started..... Shaikh managed to get Tourist Visa for Tawang from the office of Resident Commissioner (Arunachal Pradesh.) On June 17th we got the Pass.. and journey started on 18th .We shifted to Tezpur and made a stay at night.
We were surrounded by crowd of travel agents at Tezpur on that evening .We were totally cofused about the Car which we were going to hire. Finally we decided a agency and got six tickets in advance .

Finally the problem started... it was in the Car's Engine..... it began to blow black smokes in the air and was unable to climb on steep slopes.... till then we were at Bombdila....

The Tawng rout is with difficult land terrines but having ultimate natural beauty..... I never slept in total journey.... I used to chat with the driver and preferred a seat behind him at Window...We got very troubles in our all journey... and those tought us a good lesson...

The war memorial was very unique in its all types...

Words are not enough to explain its beauty.....

Finally when we reached at Sela Pass it was 9:30 of night at altitude 13400 feet... we all were hungry and tired and frozen with cold.....

And we got our car busted at road .Driver told us that we have to walk further up to 19 km for getting food and shelter at that night..... Just imagine 19 kms not a plain road but the road in the mountains.... We started walking.... the fog was so densed that we were unable to see faces of each other....unable to talk and walk with blood freezing cold and hunger.... unable to breath easily due to low oxygen level !!!!

And miracle happened we got a truck !!! But .... there was no enough space in the cabine ..the driver the driver was drunk & slept... cleaner (a boy same as mine age) was driving that truck !!!.... What to do? ?? So finally decided.... Jamir,Prafulla and Ganesh will sit in cabine and Me (Pratik),Avadhoot and Ramchandra will be on the tanker behind cabine !!! The truck was carrying Keroscene to Tawang !! And we three frends were on the three lids of that Tanker !!!

After 1 hour finally driver woke up...and when he came to know that three boys are sitting outside on the tanker in frozen Cold... he scolded the Cleaner and us too... he made us to seat in the cabine ... we were total 15 people in that cabine belive or not ! (including our co-passengers in car and car driver)

He finally stopped at a village and made adjustment of our stay and food in night....He adviced us not to come with him to Tawang at the same night since we all were tired and hungry !!!!

The food was so simple... Rice... and Some kind of forest vegetable..... I dont remember how much rice we all ate... but I ate 8 plates !!!! The taste was so incredible!!!!!!! no words to say....

At next morning we departed for Tawang... The person who owned that small hotel refused to take money from us...he told us that we were like his childrens !!! Tears rolled down through my chin.....

Since I was aware that, if we didn't ate something at that night.... chances of our survival were 30 % only !!! The food and the worm @ hotel kept us alive !
